Newark Manor is pleased to provide Respite Care services. "Respite" refers to care provided on a short-term, temporary basis.

Respite Care can be used for many reasons:

To assist the family when emergencies arise
To provide an alternative when one is ready to leave the hospital, but not ready to go home
To allow the caregiver to attend to his / her own health needs
To give the caregiver an opportunity to attend a business trip or vacation
As a way to evaluate a nursing center before making a long-term commitment

The length of Respite Care can be designed to meet the needs of the caregiver and resident for a few as four days to several weeks or months.

The daily Respite Care fee includes the same quality services offered to all residents.
