Welcome to the joy of volunteering! Newark Manor Nursing Home is pleased to provide several opportunities for volunteers. The hours are flexible enough to accommodate any schedule. Our veteran volunteers often say they find interacting with our residents a mutually beneficial and rewarding experience. Our residents like to see a fresh face, form new friendships, and have another advocate for their well-being.

You may wonder what you can do as a volunteer. If you are interested in assisting our daily activities, click on ACTIVITIES to get a sample of what we do and what strikes your interest. Other needs for volunteers include: mealtime assistance, providing entertainment, one on one visitors, and internships. We welcome new suggestions for activities too!

If you truly love to help others, then we invite you to join the ranks of some of the most caring, compassionate individuals in the world. Please call and ask for the Activities Department at 302-731-5576 to make an appointment for orientation and a tour. All volunteers must fill out an application and go through some preliminary training before beginning at Newark manor. We look forward to meeting you at the beginning of a fruitful relationship.
